- Approx 15-20 minutes to complete the application (but you can save and come back to it later)
- For security, the website will timeout if you login and do not use it
- Do not use the Browser's Back button; use the Back button on each page
Welcome to Suffolk County Council's Online Admissions Service
Please use this service if you live in Suffolk and you wish to apply for a school place in the normal year of entry for the 2016/2017 school year.
Please note: The closing date for secondary (including upper and high) school applications has now passed. You are no longer able to use this facility to make a secondary application. Any secondary application that you wish to make will have to be made on a paper CAF1 and sent to the Admissions Team. Please refer to the Admissions to Schools in Suffolk 2016/2017 booklet for further information.
This facility is still available for making a primary (including, infant, junior and middle) school application.
The closing date for primary (including infant, junior and middle) school applications is Friday 15 January 2016.
It is very important that you apply by the closing date. Late applications will not normally be considered until after school places have been offered to those who applied on time.
You will be asked to register and set up a password to allow access.
If you have applied online before and registered between 1 September 2014 and 15 January 2015 you will not need to re-register again. If you have applied online but before the dates above you will need to register again to make an application.
Please do not apply online if you are making an in-year application for the 2015/2016 school year.
If your contact details change before the closing date you will need to update your registration details and your child’s application in the case of an address change.
If your contact details change after the closing date you will need to update your registration details and email us separately with the changes. This is because you are unable to update your child’s online application after the closing date. You do not need to let us know if you change your email.
It is important that you apply on time even if you are planning to move house. If you want your future address to be the one used for allocating a school place you must email or post to us written evidence by the closing date that you are legally committed to the move and that it will take place before your child is due to start at the school you have applied for. This could be:
•proof of exchange of contracts for your new address
•a signed letting/tenancy agreement confirming your new address
•an assignment order that declares a relocation date and a unit postal address or quartering area address for a service child, or, for UK Service/returning Crown Servant families proof of the posting
If you are unable to provide evidence of your move by the closing date, we will still be able to use your new address to rank your application if we receive sufficient evidence by Friday 12 February 2016 for primary (including infant, junior and middle) school applications.
If you do not provide sufficient evidence of your house move by these dates we will use your child’s address as at the closing date to allocate a school place.
You should email your evidence to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to the Admissions Team, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 2BX. Please ensure that you include your child’s name, date of birth and indicate the school you are applying for on any evidence or information you submit after the closing date. If you send information through the post we strongly suggest you get proof of posting.
If you experience any problems whilst using this online facility or you are unable to complete and submit your application please contact the Admissions Team on 0345 600 0981. The Admissions Team are available Monday - Thursday between 8:45am and 5:00pm and Friday between 8:45am and 4:20pm.
